NASA has issued an alert against Asteroid 2023 HX1 which is expected to make its closest approach to Earth today. The asteroid is 36 feet across, which is comparable to the size of a bus, and is travelling at a speed of 38126 kilometers per hour. The asteroid belongs to the Apollo group of Near-Earth Asteroids (NEAs). The Chelyabinsk Incident in 2013 showed the need for better study and tracking of asteroids and other celestial objects.
